Also called: kilowatt-hour, kW h A kilowatt-hour, or kWh, is a unit of energy equal to using or delivering one kilowatt of power for one hour. EV battery capacity and charging-session energy are commonly stated in kWh. A charger delivering a constant 50 kW for 30 minutes transfers 25 kWh of energy, ignoring losses. The same 25 kWh could be delivered more slowly at lower power over a longer period. Electricity tariffs are usually expressed as a price per kWh, while the charger or connection rating is stated in kW. L
