The team

Versinetic is engineering-led. Our team has been designing charge point electronics, firmware and communications since 2010, from the MiDDaS project and the electronics behind the London 2012 Olympic charging stations through to the UK’s first fully integrated Vehicle-to-Grid system. When you work with us you work directly with the people who designed the charge controller boards.

Who we are

A small team, deep in EV charging

We are a spinout company of ByteSnap Design, an ISO 9001:2015 certified embedded electronics consultancy. That heritage matters: our engineers have been solving charge point problems since 2010, long before the market caught up.

Meet some of the people behind the charging modules below. Hardware, firmware, protocol and systems engineers work side by side on every project, so the board, the firmware and the communications stack are designed as one system rather than stitched together afterwards.

Hardware engineering

Charge point electronics and board design

Controller boards, power electronics and metering hardware - the same discipline behind MantaRay, EEL and LinkRay. Designed for manufacture, compliance and long production lifetimes.

Embedded firmware

Firmware that runs on real chargers

Low-level, resource-constrained firmware for charge point controllers: secure boot, over-the-air updates, real-time control loops and the plumbing that keeps a charger dependable in the field.

Protocols and standards

OCPP, ISO 15118 and interoperability

Deep working knowledge of OCPP and ISO 15118, proven at international Plugfests. The team that built our OCPP library and ISO 15118 stack understands compliance as engineering, not paperwork.

Systems and integration

Load balancing, V2G and site intelligence

Whole-system thinking across chargers, back offices and site power - including the UK’s first end-to-end fully integrated Vehicle-to-Grid system, delivered by this team.
