01  Off the shelf

Start from our
building blocks

Proven modular charging solution - smart charger controllers, 15118 and OCPP software - the tested modules you assemble a standards-based charger from.

Or a bespoke
charging solution

We design, build and certify a bespoke charger around your product - based on our trusted building blocks, so you reach market faster and with less risk than starting from scratch.

The modular range

The charging range

Versinetic's modular system allows you to create a charger to meet your requirements, whether it's single or dual socket, single or three phase, European or US standards.

Standards built in OCPP 1.6 & 2.0.1 · ISO 15118 · IEC 61851 · SAE J1772

Which route?

Building blocks, or bespoke?

Both routes stand on the same proven foundations - the difference is how much of the charger is already decided for you.

Route 01

Start from the building blocks

Best when a proven, standards-compliant platform gets you to market fastest.

  • Take a single controller board, embed a software stack, or use the whole platform
  • OCPP, ISO 15118 and IEC 61851 compliance from the start, not retrofitted at certification
  • Embed the software in your own product firmware, integrated by your own team

Route 02

Go bespoke

Best when an off-the-shelf product cannot match your specification.

  • A charger designed around your product, from feasibility to production
  • Built on the same proven foundations, with no tie-ins
  • You keep your brand, your IP and your roadmap
Bespoke charger design

Still deciding? The development kit puts MantaRay and EEL on your bench so you can evaluate before committing, and how we work shows the route from feasibility to production.

Why modular

A faster, lower-risk route to a bespoke charger

Off-the-shelf chargers are too rigid and full custom development is slow and risky. Our modular solutions give you a proven foundation you can configure around your product - keeping your brand, adding in your IP and your roadmap.

Questions

Frequently asked questions

Should I start from the standard boards or go bespoke?

Start from the standard boards when a proven, standards-compliant platform gets you to market fastest - take a single controller board, embed a software stack, or use the whole platform. Go bespoke when an off-the-shelf product cannot match your specification: our engineers design a charger around your product on the same proven foundations, keeping your brand, your IP and your roadmap.

What EV charging standards do the charging modules support?

The boards and software stacks support OCPP 1.6 and 2.0.1 (Open Charge Point Protocol), ISO 15118 (Plug & Charge and Vehicle-to-Grid), IEC 61851 (AC charging) and SAE J1772 - built in from the start rather than retrofitted at certification.

Can I use Versinetic hardware or software in my own charger product?

Yes. The charging modules are designed for OEM integration. Hardware modules like MantaRay and EEL can be integrated into your charger design, and the software - including the OCPP library and ISO 15118 stack - can be embedded in your own product firmware.

Is there a way to evaluate the platform before committing to a design?

Yes - the Engineering Specification Kit, our development kit, pairs the MantaRay and EEL boards on your bench so you can evaluate, prototype and de-risk your charger design before production.

Can I license the charging software separately?

Yes. The protocol software and IP can be licensed into your own product and integrated by your own team - subscription-free when you buy the hardware modules.
