and our charge point control firmware, and embed them in your own
product. Your electronics, your enclosure, your brand and your roadmap
stay yours. What you skip is the protocol layer, which is where the
months go and where the interoperability problems hide.
The software is already in production. It has been tested against
multiple back offices and at industry Plugfests, and it runs on chargers
shipping in four markets.
A smart charge point is defined by its ability to communicate.
Everything else on the board is comparatively well understood. OCPP and
ISO 15118 are large, exacting standards, and building either from
scratch means months of development followed by interoperability
testing that is difficult to scope and easy to underestimate.
Licensing a validated implementation removes that work. Your engineers
spend their time on the electronics and the features that differentiate
the product, rather than on a protocol layer that every competitor also
has to build.
Versinetic's parent company ByteSnap Design has worked in EV charging
since 2010, starting with the MiDDaS project and then the charge post
electronics for the London 2012 Olympic vehicle fleet. That is what you

A standards-based OCPP client that interprets the protocol between a Charging Station Management System and your charger - requesting information, interpreting messages and instructing the charge point. OCPP is an open standard, so your product stays interoperable with any supporting back office. Versions 1.6 and 2.0.1 today, with 2.1 in development.
Vehicle-to-grid communications with Plug & Charge support, ready to embed for bi-directional power transfer and seamless authentication between the vehicle and the charge point.
The onboard control logic that runs a smart charge point - connectivity, authentication, metering, load management and net-zero modes - proven across AC charging, which is the majority of installed capacity.
White-label installer app
Commissioning and configuration in the installer's hands, branded as yours - a guided wizard that finds chargers over Bluetooth, Wi-Fi or Ethernet and copies settings across a site.

Do we have to use your back office?
No. OCPP is an open standard, so a licensed client connects to any supporting charge station management system. We do not sell one, and we are not trying to move you onto ours.
Which OCPP versions are covered?
OCPP 1.6 and 2.0.1 today, with 2.1 in development. Where an estate spans versions, the protocol abstraction layer lets modules run side by side rather than forcing a single migration.
Is this white label?
At the software layer, yes. You license the communications and control firmware and it disappears inside your product - your brand, your hardware, your roadmap. The white-label installer app works the same way.

How is a licence structured?
